I should tell you all about me:

Maurice Head is a Freelance Writer, covering many different forms of wording; be they novels, tour books, security reports, training courses, or operating manuals. He is also a published Military historian who thoroughly enjoys passing his knowledge of the Battlefields to those who need to know, Veterans, children, and many adults. He recognises the importance of passing the correct information out to the greater population, and more importantly, the ancestors of the brave people who fought for our freedom.
Maurice was admitted to the degree of Master of Science in Security and Risk Management in January 2015; he is recognised both academically and operationally. He is highly motivated, innovative, and shows determination and drive in all he undertakes. Furthermore, he displays a high level of personal and team achievement within the security and risk management arena. With over 35 years of experience in the security field, Maurice is an all-round security specialist and is available to assist in assessing, planning, and implementing cost-effective, tailor-made solutions.

Maurice began his time with the Royal British Legion’s Remembrance Travel Tours in May 2018, as a tour medic. He was required to ensure the Veterans, from World War 2, remained in a healthy state until they arrived home. During his first tour, he had a call to his room, early in the morning, the daughter of a Veteran was concerned about her father. He went to the room immediately; Bill looked like he was struggling with anxiety. Maurice asked the daughter to make a cup of tea for ten minutes so that he could be alone with Bill. After carrying out basic medical checks and chatting to Bill, it turned out he was worried about the morning’s visit to Sword Beach. Bill hadn’t been there since the 6th June 1944, when he stepped of the landing craft to face the heavily armed enemy. Maurice’s response was that of a true British Soldier, the medication he administered was a big Military hug. As the colour started to return to Bills face, together with his magic smile, Maurice told him that he would be by his side all morning. M
